Got an email from Eric about a great deal with House of Staunton. There's a member login and password provided but I can't make it connect. Anyone else?

Also, does anyone know if the membership is permanent or has an expiry date?

i cannot log in either. i have matched case and an unmatched case. not sure why i cannot connect but does geographic location matter?

i can log in and the deal is great. if the house of staunton just gave you a coupon number for the group it might be easier. i am wondering if the log in issue is due to the number of people that can log in at any given time.

House of Staunton makes wonderful chessmen and boards. I've been enjoying my reproduction of the Fischer-Spassky 1972 chessmen for the past couple years.

Hi. I'm Chris, (one of) the tech support guys from the House of Staunton. Sorry for the problems with the member discount program.

Can I get some clarification from you folks that are having issues? I would like to know the following:

• When you click "Log in", does the system take you to a screen that says you've logged in?
• If the login process is successful for you, have you tried adding an item to your cart, and confirming the price there? (see screenshot below)

The discounted price doesn't appear until checkout, and there's currently no indication that you're logged in until you view your cart; I'm guessing that's causing some confusion.

i have been able to log in since prior post using lower case letters

Username and password should be all in lowercase:

user: chesscom

password: play

It worked for me this way...

yes, make the username (chesscom) and password (play) in lowercase. House of Staunton originally had the uppercase ones working, but switched. i'm not sure why...
