I need some advice

I am thinking to purchase a good software to seriously learn chess and improve my rating. I need a software that can provide me different types of players( like insane bishop master, crazy king pawn promoter or mad piece-sacrifce king hunter). I mean, if I only play with a chess-master who always play the best moves, I will know the correct response when my opponent makes the best move. But this is not enough, I also need to know how to punish when my opponnent makes some crazy but incorrect moves. Sometime I am so upset when I see my opponent makes an offensive unreasonable move but know nothing to do about it until I see my game analyze. Someone told me that Chessmaster has that function. Any more suggestion?  Thanks

Look no further than any of the Chessmaster series. As someone already told you CM has everything you are looking for and more.

Nihao, chinese friend:

What are you looking for is a software that acts like a human, right? No software really provides that. Why not go for a subscription in some of the most popular chess sites to play online? ICC, Playchess, Chess.com... these are paid, but there is some are free, and still good enough like FICS. They will provide you enough crazy players (good and bad) that you will ever need. For long games (45 minutes) I recommend ICC, and for speed chess, ICC and Playchess. And for looooonnnngg games, (days per move) of course I recommend you Chess.com.

If you want to spend some money in usefull softwares, I recommend you chessbase and its databases, and some useful e-books published in this format. Dont spend money in engines because they wont help you grow as a chessplayer.

Hope it will help you.

I agree with CharlyAZ. You will be best served with a membership to ICC. You are not going to get much mileage or benefit from playing against an engine (instead of a human).
