I want to play that setup against all of whites diveriations after d4. The problem is i had a book from everymen (starting out or play the kings indian) and it only shows the kings indian lines and didnt tell to much about the structure etc. Is there a book wich explains all that kind of stuff so im able to play it?? Also i would like to know if its possible to play the kings indian as black without early exchanging queens, without having to get a bad position while avoiding it??

If you are afraid of exchanging queens then 6...Nbd7 is possible to prepare 7...e5 however that doesn't put enough pressure on white's centre and hardly played anymore.

If you want to play for a win in the exchange variation, 9...c6 is adviced.

The classical variation is played more often than the exchange variation and you should give more attention to that. I would suggest the book by John Nunn.

If it's books you're after on the KID, then I would recommend: Attacking Chess The Kings Indian volumes 1 + 2 by David Vigorito, also Fighting Against the Anti-Kings Indians by Yelena Dembo.

Quality Chess are also planning a GM repertoire on the KID, which is something to look forward to as well.

yes quality chess is pretty good, but i hope they trim it more toward weaker players unlike their d4 repertoire. is it true that the c4 repertoire has much verbal explanation?

Depending on your rating, your could consider "Pawn Structure Chess" by Soltis.

I just started studying this book which has a lot of good reviews on Amazon.com.

The book is divided into chapters of typical pawn structures and not according to specific openings or lines. The author gives examples of different types of plans in the different structures. This large book has a chapter with 30 pages about KID structure. I think this book is helpful to improve your planning skills in general in different structures before going into deeper detail with eg. KID or any other opening.

I am currently about ELO 1600 and I think this book require a lot of hard work, but I am sure that if you learn from the book, learning and understanding openings will be a lot easier afterwards!

There is a old 80's book that tries to explain pawn structures in the King'sIndian. Will post again when looked up it's name.

Don't think exchange variation is very dangerous, black try to play for win using weak d4 square.  It is quite popular on this site, and ,by pure coincidence am sure software, rates it highly. If black knows some typical ideas, for example playing a5 to get space on queenside. Nf6-h5-f4 to counter c4-c5 when white's control of d5 not so good etc, black should be able to get good counterplay.

Marin in English series of books has more explanation than Avruk's very dry manuals. The whole series is for more advanced players though. Vassilios Kotronias who will be doing the KingsIndian one is a very good Author, so think worth getting.

The old book about pawn structures in KingsIndian "Mastering the KingsIndian Defense" by Robert Bellin and Pietro Ponzetto.

thank you verry much, yeah the problem is that without a queen i lack attacking ideas.. im not such an advance player with a queen its easier to visualise attacks without them i suck even more lol
