Karpov on Karpov .. thoughts

Hey all.

     I must say after many chess books, karpov on karpov is my favorite.  The stories are wonderful and part of chess history.  He covers chess but as it was in his life .  A full assesment of fischer , even going into private meetings they had.  

  Anyone looking for a truly great book  on chess its this one!

Is it more of a biography or more of an annotation of his games?  Don't learn much chess just reading about someones life

Amazon and other booksellers list Karpov on Karpov as having only 8 pages!

  232 pages  .  No annotated games ,  just lots of info on  soviet chess .  It is a biography but u do learn  some ideas.

  Ill have to look into the capablanca  book .  I just ordered a bio on Morphy and Laskers manual on chess.

ive got Petrosion Vs the Elite its a great book and gives 71 of his best games from 1946-1983. and a complete record of all hes tournament results.a good buy also Karpov as got a new book out as anyone got it.
