looking for Carpathian Warrior 2

That is, in the hard one to find catergory. But at around $40 should be a good read.
It is hard to find. I already tried the regular sellers that carried it, and it's out of stock. On the bright side, there are some rumors that it will be re-issued.

I will loo k at some of my old haunts for a copy. Will advise.
Thank you, I appreciate your help!

Book Finder.com has four. 3 may not be in english but may be as the says these copies are in english but one I think is. Under $30.

I used that site to find a used copy in English. I just ordered it from AbeBooks.com $27 with shipping from Germany. I did not know about BookFinder.com, but will check it from now on (I'm a bibliophile). Thanks Embuna, you rock!

Glad you got it. I must be honest, it is a book I have never heard. Currently seeking first volume. Found it for a bit over $45. As I try and improve my game I think that it would be a good read with all matters concerning a masters opening moves. It seems to equate to putting the bacon in the pan,Blink and it's fried. But yet between the pan and the blink many variables have to be concidered. I will enjoy it when I get it.

From what I heard about Carpathian Warrior volumes 1 and 2, they contain lots of very detailed analysis on a select set of openings. I ordered volume 2 because of its over 100 pages of theory on a strange opening that I'm interested in, a maybe rehabilitated version of the Clarendon Court defense. Volume 1 covers another one of my current opening interests -- the Philidor. But I have enough material (books by Bauer and Barsky) about that one to keep me busy for a while. But if you ever want to sell volume 1, let me know. Here is what the New In Chess site says about the first volume:

Secrets of a Master New Opening Theory
“The Pirc – Modern is probably only 75% correct”, is what the authors maintain. Yet the strategic and tactical complexity make for excellent fighting ground. This book contains a range of very dangerous systems for black and white, such as the Austrian, the Hippo, the Spike and the Left Hook. You will also find some surprising anti- Philidor material.
If you know that the three qualities central to the thinking behind this book are: "bluff, provocation, and the center", then you know that this is a very unusual book.
Grandmaster Bogdan Lalic has represented his native Croatia many times in the Chess Olympiad, and is an experienced coach and author.
International Master Vladimir Okhotnik is a former champion of Ukraine.
