Not an easy task. Any book will do it unless it says it's targeted for a certain category. It should contain a healthy mix of opening principles, easy tactics, basic fundamental endgames, and several exemples of famous chess games that are illustrating those tactics. Good luck! (I was taught the basics by my grandfather, been already >1000 when I read a chess book). Don't get overwhelmed, it shouldn't be hard.
