It probably is actually better to go through older games with a critical eye. While the opening theory is likely not valid any more, most of the rest of the game should be fine. Plus, it should be a little easier to understand ideas in the games and potentially find the errors.

I was going through this book and found many old games of year 1924 and etc..
Is it good to go through those games. Didn't chess change in the past 50 years drastically and the way it is played?
