I was thinking the same. Jan Timman is an excellent author. I particularly liked his Curacao tournament book and The Longest Game, his account of the Karpov Vs Kasparov battles. Moreover a modern account of Euwe is a significant gap in the literature. Definitely something to look forward to.

What is the place that sells these for lowest price?
JohanVA

Don't know, I'm not going to check every site. I ordered mine at NIC, 35€ for the dutch hardcover, 2€ cheaper than the english hardcover. Never knew english was a more expensive language LOL
Paperback's 30€ and ebook 25€.

Is it available on Amazon?

JohanVA

On amazon.com it says available from october 1 at the same price as NIC. Amazon UK is a bit more expensive.

Max Euwe was a chess champion and great author too. I enjoyed his books The Middle Game Book that he authored with Hans Kramer. My first chess book, unfortunately I do no have it anymore. Yes, can learn a lot from his games and from his books.
