An incredible work of art. At the same time I think they would be very playable. Just amazed at the care and effort you put into this set.

Yep +1 @LandSDad - and not to speak on behalf of the OP but given where these pieces were made and to do the right thing by the all involved … I think peace may need to return to the Ukraine on that front - might be a nice way for the business to reopen, if and when they can.

Sorry, I was hoping to do a small group message to organise a purchase from Oldset, but just realised that chess.com only allows me to send messages to one person at a time. So I guess we’ll have to chat via this thread (or I can start a new one if people prefer).
I hadn’t heard from Oldset for a couple of months, but fortunately I messaged him again yesterday and just got a response. So he’s (relatively) well, it seems. I’ve asked if he’s able to 3D print the bishops, like he did the Knights, as they differ somewhat from my design and I think is incredibly hard to do accurately by hand. He’s tried and failed to 3D print it already, but he said he’ll attempt again.
If you guys are happy with the Bishops in my set, you should be able to go ahead and order my design with the same finishes. Just let him know if you want the more difficult (but I think much better) Queen, or the simpler version.
Pics of Oldset’s Bishop compared to my actual design (scaled down as it is a prototype), and of the different Queens, are below.
Let me know your thoughts / ideas on a group order!

I definitely prefer the Premium Queen and the original Bishop. I still have plans to eventually place an order but I can't imagine that I'll be able to get it past my own Premium Queen any time soon, hahaha!

+1 on what GPD said! It truly is a magnificent set, I reckon - one of the best modern designs.
@Kohpablanca I just noticed you haven't taken and posted any pics of the Australis set in action. Would love to see how the forms interact with each other during a game on the board.

Ah, yes — I posted a couple of pics in a different thread, but here’s a couple more I just took.
