Wow, not sure how this slipped under the radar. Fischers classic is reissued in algebraic notation. Anyone who doesn't have one needs to get one!

Enjoy!

I'll have to find out which edition I have. I noticed in the review of this one it said the "controversial alterations" of Fischer's words of the last edition have been omitted. I may have to do some research to find out what those alterations were.

Regardless of edition, this is an excellent book with great games and good annotations. Now that it's in algebraic everyone that avoided it because of it's descriptive notation should buy it. It was one of my first chess books and I've spent many enjoyable hours with it.

I posted here about this new edition months ago...

Well done chessoholicalien! But I agree with chessroshi, I was surprised that the book didn't get more attention. Maybe reviewers felt everything had already been said about it. So if that means bringing it up again, so be it.

I must have missed chessoholicalien's notice. Or possibly I just didn't have time to check into it further. I've been too busy the last couple months to do much more than nod at my chessboard in passing. Among a bunch of other things I recently got to see a chip on my PCs motherboard glow orange and start to melt. Kinda neat but a little expensive. I'm just getting my new home system into shape. I'm hoping that as winter sets in I'll get more time for chess.
