Very nice! Tell us about the table.
My current playing set-up. Whats yours?
My chess table has an interesting story. My wife bought it from Marshall Field's in Chicago before we were married in 1982. It looked like this, then.

The squares were way too small to play on. I had given up chess at the time (for over thirty years). We used it as a dining table and then a play table for the kids, when it got covered with paint and glitter. I disassembled it and stored it in the basement. Then I got interested in chess again, and needed a place to play, so I examined it. After seeing videos by Izmet and Alan Dewey, I figured it wouldn't be that hard to spiff it up, so I sanded down the board and refinished it, spray painting on the squares. I lightly sanded the table, removed the paint and glitter, and touched up the finish. Since the board came out, and left a 24" x 24" opening, my boards all fit into it, so I move them in and out to complement whatever sets I use. There's a bar and two beer fridges on the other end of the room, as well as a wall mounted TV, so I'm pretty well set.

My table is one picked up at an antique centre for $300. I do like the inlaid tables.
The squares are small but the collector series fit really well
I don't have a great home set-up right now but I do have this:

I've had that portable set for well over 15 years and my good friend Ezio (hidden somewhere behind that beard) and I have played on it in countless bars and coffee shops. I have lots of nicer sets but this would probably still be my favourite just because of all the fun we've had over the years.

this is my current set up HOS collector series
