The positions in this book CHESS: 5334 Problems and combinations are what Papa Polgar used to train her daughters to be world class champions, so was wondering why cant i use the ame method for myself?, in the next 6 months, i wont be doing anything but to drill all this positions untl i master them competely like the Polgar sisters did, 6 months might not be enough but that ould be my plan, also i would be doing 1-2 problems from Leonid Kubbel book which are also mate puzzles but more challenging, that would help with calculations.

It might be better to take a more balanced approach to your training, and also to keep playing.

I heard that it’s good book for puzzles solving.

5534 is a great book and will improve your tactics for sure and after that you will find it easy to score high in chess.com puzzles possibly going over even 3000. However, your real strength will be demonstrated in rapid and blitz games where anything above 1550 would be good!

Instead of concentrating on the mating problems, maybe try doing a little bit of each section every day. Start off with the mating problems, but then do at least one of miniature games. Best part of the book in my opinion. Then do some of the endgames and at least one of the Polgar combinations at the end. You'll get more out of the book this way and probably enjoy it more also. It's a good book.

i'm following the method Polgar father used to train her daughters, he didnt jump from one to another, no need to start doing miniature games before i have mastered the mates problem, there is a reason he put those games in the end of the book

Hi, I think that what you are showing here is CHESS: 5334 Problems and combinations within the ChessBase interface.

Is that a ChessBase title, or how do I get a copy of such CHESS: 5334 Problems and combinations ?

Thanks.
