New Book!
Why don't you do your job, and stop congratulating a blatant violation of the Chess, com polices.
Thank you for the feedback.
Firstly, I am a volunteer moderator on chess.com. I am not paid staff. This is not my "job", nonetheless, I get your point about my role and responsibility as a moderator.
Secondly, @chessauthor has been a valued member of the site and this discussion forum since 2010. I do not think their post is a violation of the community policies and this is why I did not edit or remove the post.
This forum is a discussion of chess sets, equipment and books. The post is on topic, they've disclosed their personal interests (i.e. that they are the author) and they do not appear to be posting the same comment multiple times. I think there is value when authors, vendors and other creators engage with the community. I do not see this the same as a user that only posts about their products/services, discredits competitor products, never participates in any other discussions or provides fake reviews and recommendations.
Hello everyone! My new book, We Be Dragons, has been released! Many of you know me as the author of the Ray Gordon chess mysteries. We Be Dragons is a little different, it takes place in 1986 and is a story about friendship, standing tall, and a D&D adventure that takes readers to a world where fighting for what’s right is what life is all about. Click the cover to learn more and decide if you want to give it a read. Thank you!
