New DGT 2500 bulletproof

My kids have been using a cheap chess clock from young age. I would like to surprise them with a new and nicer clock. They play different time controls but also bullet and the poor thing gets quite a beating. I don't mind blemishes but my concern is if the lever and case holds up. Do any of you have experience with the new 2500 model? Or would the 2010 be a better choice? I live in Europe btw. Thanks!

I think DGT 2500 will be a great gift. It replaces the DGT 2010. If you can get the DGT 2010 at a good discount that would still be a great choice. The primary difference might be a few timing modes and the display when in operation. Nothing significant IMO.
