I'm a simple man. I see a @bananamoon photo, I heart it.
Noj set board combination
Normally I'd say an NOJ set is too nice for vinyl "Banana",but since I know your a good pal of my man MCH and play him often,I'll go with your tastes.

Me too @lotsoblots. Here is my Noj 1950 on a 51 mm raised frame board. It is a little tight for my preference.
Love the board (and pieces of course). It's too bad those framed boards are so hard to find.

@bananamoon You have awoken The Red Minceta.
Nice, certainly also my choice if I had more Noj sets.

Before finalizing the order I thought a lot what kind of set I wanted it to be. I wanted mainly to use it as a analyzing set, a set I would use every day. Using the set frequently is one of the reasons I chose it to be unweighted. I also think unweighted pieces are sturdier. For most chess players unweighted pieces are labeled cheep (I also) and a vinyl board feels (felt) adequate. Finally the excellent post of @zagryan https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-equipment/common-issue-when-staying-at-a-hotel?page=2#comment-47404028 convinced which Noj set to buy and further specifications.

Yes it's printed, also a folding board. Don't know what wood it is but it's heavier than a RF board.
HMM? Wondering if new NOJ sets will become available before the Webb Space telescope becomes obsolete.
For me a regular vinyl roll up board is the best combination with my Minceta unweighted set.
Please post some other combinations (pictures are always nice).
