The guy has up to $200 to spend on an entire set with shipping. The Chess Store is giving him 3 fine 4" Staunton sets complete with board and freight for under $200. I forgot the link in my last post. They have very good quality and are very reputable. As I scour the internet looking for chess deals every week if someone asked me to buy them a set (maning with board) but keep it from $150 to $200 I would not hesitate for the sets that show up in this URL I will post now.

I too have purchased sets and equipment from House of Chess, House of Staunton, Chess Cafe, The Chess Store, and American Chess Equipment with positive experiences with all. When I've had problems they have been dealt with in a timely manner, much to my satisfaction. In addition to these companies, I would also like to add The Chess Piece out of Florida. I have three of their sets and am very pleased with each.

They have some very nice sets at reasonable prices, not as cheap as some, nor as expensive as others, but they represent a good value for the money. TCP has an interesting mix of sets, and Steve (Livingstone) is very knowledgable about his products. It's worth a look-see.
