Won't the WCC DGT weighted pieces work just the same on a wood board? The added bonus being that the WCC DGT pieces are the pieces used in the WCC tournaments. Now, if it was an issue with the doubled price of a non-DGT WCC set, that's another story. Yikes!
@yacoxitin Did you get a replacement Knight, Queen or both?
The chessbaron site shows the Official FIDE set as sold out for months now. He told me just last week that there have been further delays and they are not expected in until early April at the earliest. Have no idea how he got you a replacement. Must be some sort of voodoo magic!
