Out-Of-Print/Rare Chess Books

Flear's "Mastering the Endgame" is available on AbeBooks.com for US $16.08 and on ThriftBooks.com for US $15.01. Shipping is free to the US on both sites; not sure about shipping to Canada.

Oh great, a drunk and a nut.
Is that directed to me?
No, Tal and Fischer. You gotta pay more attention, joseph.
How were they drunk or nuts? Fischer I've learned to be an antisemitic.

Thanks; do these sites facilitate payment between the buyer and seller? I’ve always avoided buying used books because you don’t really know what you’re going to get etc. I wonder why this book fell out of print; “Improve Your Endgame Play” is pretty popular and still in print, one would think its follow-up (which also seems to be well regarded) would also still be in print.

I've used both sites before and have been fully satisfied. Payment is made directly to the site and they take it from there. Shipping tends to be a bit slow, probably because it's free. Depending on where the book is coming from, it has taken up to two weeks to arrive.
I share your general reluctance to buy used books, and usually refrain from buying anything that is described as less than "very good" condition. Both sites have always been very accurate in describing the books' condition.

Let's see: Tal was known for his fondness for drink. And Fischer...well, if you don't think he was nuts, perhaps you should've been an inmate...er, roommate.
What the heck that means? You talk jiberish many times. Fischer was not normal, but it is good to know how badly!? Be clear that's all I am asking.

Sort of reminds me of that line attributed to Truman: "I never gave em hell. I just gave em the truth and they thought it was hell."
No. You accusing him, but you are not telling why do you accuse him. You should give reasons for that labeling.
perhaps you should've been an inmate...er, roommate.
This statement is insensitive, though I did not take it serious. And it's jiberish, ambiguous. Implies many things and could be read differently.
