The right bishop is from the original set.

They look Indian to me and mass produced. You can find the same knight in many similar sets from India, eg... http://www.wholesalechess.com/shop/chess_pieces/wood_chess_pieces?sort=featured http://www.houseofstaunton.com/the-championship-series-chess-set-3-75-king.html http://www.houseofstaunton.com/the-championship-series-chess-set-3-75-king.html It's very easy to find something similar by looking at most online chess stores. You might find better prices on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tournament-Wood-Chess-Set-Folding-21-board-2-1-4-squares-3-3-4-King-/300901779869?pt=Games_US&hash=item460f24c99d As for finding the exact set I would think it's out there. It might take a bit of looking. It's nothing I'd consider collectable, but to each his own.

I've received one tip hinting towards india yes. And because of it's intermediate age it is very unlikely online stores have examples remaining for purchase.
The reason why i put so much effort into getting such pieces is mainly due to the local chess club have such chessmen, so over the years everyone liked playing with the first-class board beside fancy pieces...
By the way i found this video with some of the pieces included in the set, King, Queen, Bishop, Pawns. The rook and knight is apparently slightly different.
try this:
https://www.schachversand.de/ and search for "Chessmen Classic Staunton w. "french" bishop" (having trouble getting the correct direct link due to weird frameset and scripting...). Looks to me to be pretty close to what you're looking for.

Yes they are similar but in fact if you look more closer at the king he is shaped tinier and crown is little in size as well, furthermore the bishop is relatively skinny.
Trying to identify some semi-old pieces. So far from what i know: possible originating from Germany and are made within the last 15 years. They are occasionally seen in the bundesliga at master level, atleast from google picture search. And due to they are out of production (most likely) they are gradually being phased out slowly.
And yes i know they are the staunton design (french bishop).
