Pieces for an old small board, any advice?

Hi everyone,

I recently found an old chessboard that was the one where my father played when he was a kid. It's a cheap, but good-looking chess board from 1971. The pieces of this board are long lost, so I wanted to accept the challenge to buy vintage pieces to not leave the board empty. The problem? The board is very small, with a square size of 29mm. Normally pieces of this size are sold with a board, but I would like to buy only the pieces, even if they are old and very used, they will fit well with the antique vibe of the board.  So where I can find nice and particular looking chess pieces of this size? I'm struggling to find them so if anyone have suggestions he/she will be very welcome.

Thank you all, in advance.

I think you just have to watch the listings on Ebay for a few months and hope something turns up.  I checked using the search term "small chess pieces" but got only complete sets and a few new sets from China.  You might have to just buy a little folding set and get the pieces that way.  Good luck!

Thank you baddogno, I'll surely search on eBay as you said, maybe some nice offer will appear who knows.
