Gorgeous… and I like the scotch whisky box on background, makes the set look even more appealing 😁

Thank you!

Ziryab

Scotch boxes are a great way to store chess sets.

Nicely proportioned set. I particularly like the design of the knights.

So recently me and my girlfriend moved into our first home with our two-year old. Naturally we are very proud. But, what I'm really happy about is that my girlfriend let me turn the basement into my own personal man cave/chess dungeon. It's not done yet, but i have everything set up in an efficient way. The board in the middle for playing games with friends or for analyzing games i played with the white pieces. To the right of my laptop is my board for analysis of games with the black pieces. Complete with mini fridge of water and red bull tropical and a cot to sleep on when im studying my brains out and get tired. 👌👌👌 I hope y'all enjoy. I certainly do.🙏 Best vibes as always.

Great stuff and a wonderful time of your life… first home, a little bundle of joy to bring smiles to you and your girlfriend and a place for some quiet time every so often. I hope all goes with with life and chess. 👍

Hello, FYI there is a used NOJ chess set at -40%. Sold by NOJ so it is the real thing :)

A streamlined little Staunton set I picked up from a private seller for very little money, I just thought it was cute. Stylistic elements include cone-headed pawns, bishops with no cuts in the mitres, bulbous bases, and white pieces that strike me as maple rather than boxwood. Matted finish.

The box says "Bianca-Schach" in bold, blue, embossed letters, couldn't find any info online. I guess they're from the 1980s. Lightly weighted and small tournament size. The board square size is 50mm.

Nice find! I think its very pretty. Made me think about these Deviled pieces a bit.

I think so, too, though I must admit I'm also a big fan of heavy, big and beefy sets, the latest of which just arrived:

LittlePuffling

How many sets have you got, @chessmaster_diamond?

chessmaster_diamond

I guess, a little over 30. I only just began "restocking" after I'd sold the vast majority of my sets last year and the year before that. But I'm not gonna go into hardcore collecting, the one above will be the last one for some time.

LittlePuffling

Blimey... Do you have them all on display or in their boxes?

chessmaster_diamond

Three sets I usually have on display as a conversation piece in my shop, the rest in boxes. Sometimes I switch sets.

LittlePuffling

Ah... now it makes sense. I was wondering why someone would need 30 sets

chessmaster_diamond

You better don't ask Chuck or Michael or Holger that, as they have many, MANY more sets. wink.png
