Post Your Chess Sets

Yeah I agree. The board and pieces look good together. Nice setup @Ziryab!
I used it as my tournament set until the mane on a black knight was trimmed from banging around in my tournament bag.

The chess set that I showed earlier ...

... turns up again on Perry Mason, "The Case of the Stand-In Sister." Here, the board appears in proper orientation. Raymond Burr even handles a rook as he's thinking.

Here's a set that I just got. 4" kings, extra queens, 3 lbs total weight and a nice leatherette bag. Free shipping and returns from Amazon. Can you find what's so special about this set? LOL
New House Of Staunton Russian Tsarist set. H.O.S. really showed class by adding such a nice certificate and the metal label for my coffer....Mostly for display, but surprisingly playable.
I added a few other sets, just for the eye candy.

Knight detail?
Sorry for the sideways photos...I've just figured that out, using my phone at a different angle...Silly me.
Btw,in retrospect,I really don't think my Tsarist set would be too good for play....The tops of the Queen & King would be prone to klutzy hands. However,I loved vintage aesthetic look so much,I just had to add it to my collection. Chess Set Art!

Is this legit $25?

Yep, I saw this sale on Amazon 7 days ago and it's turned out to be a real steal of a deal.
Heck, even the pawns look nice. I love the wood grains and the shade of wood...dark enough to differentiate from the whites, not too dark to see the grain, and definitely not ebonized.
(for reference the squares above are 2". ignore the cheap board, I'm getting a new one soon)
