Beautiful set, stunning photography, great board! And knights are supposed to be fierce, right?

@sound67, That looks like a great hassle-free everyday set. How do you find such gem on a consistent basis?
Not technically "mine" since I gave it away, but here's a set I made as a holiday gift for friends who play

That is amazingly beautiful, and your friends are lucky to have you as a friend <3

@sound67 Thanks for your detailed story. Nice looking set. That board is gorgeous wood, too, but my first thought was that I might find it too busy for playing.
Spamming like you have done on this forum will most likely not get you success. Instead, you should start a new topic. Include pictures and you will get better notice.

Here's one of my favourite sets - Club size (i.e. 4 inch Kings) Jaques on Briarwood and Elmwood board. It's a nice set but didn't have the original box and it looks to be a harlequin set so wasn't ridiculously expensive

Thank you. It came up on EBay and I bought it even though I already have too many boards. It's big, with 2.75 inch squares

Inspired by The Queen's Gambit, I decided to buy a Fierce Knight Staunton set. Yeah, right: As if I needed further inspiration to buy chess pieces.
Anyway, I didn't want the Chessbazaar version because of the "snub-nosed" (or: short-face) knights and thus went with a set by a relatively new player on Etsy, Tajartandhandcraft. Their earliest review dates from November of last year, and I certainly didn't notice their shop before that time. It was not my intention to get as close to the TQG set as possible, just to get a fierce knight set that appealed to me the most.
@sound67, could you post the link of where you got this from? Might look into it
Beautiful set and I really love that board.....Btw,you are an excellent consumer!
