Post Your Chess Sets

Here's another pic. This set is a mixture of good and bad, the Knights are a bit ugly, and the tops of the Bishops are a bit small for my taste. On the other hand the crosses of the Kings are threaded and screw into place, which is a feature I've never seen before. The pawns all have unusually wide bases.
If anyone recognises this set and knows anything about it please let me know

Looks nice! If I keep following this forum it's going to cost me money soon hahaha. Want some nice wooden pieces for my board!

Here's a set a bought a couple of years ago - 4 inch Kings, boxwood and ebony. Unweighted, unfortunately. Also needs a lot of work
Great board!

I like the wide base on the pawns. Cool old wood patina, too.

Here's my set. Nothing too fancy. Just wooden pieces I got on eBay years ago (85mm king). I don't recall the brand, but they came in the wooden box. Maybe the logo will help identify them. The board is more recent, a 40cm Dal Rossi board in palisander and maple. The pieces are slightly too large for the board since I forgot that the generous border makes the 40cm board have a playing area of 35cm.

The board's really well made! Could you post the link for that? Thanks!

It's this board from Dal Rossi. They don't sell direct though. I got mine from Frontline Hobbies in Australia. They had the best price and postage locally. It's a lovely board for just $100 AUD. One day I might upgrade to some classier pieces, but these do just fine for daily use.

I like the outside playing area to go with the board!!!

Thanks. I don't actually play out there. It just had better light than inside next to my desk

I have the same set, also 85mm. Got it around 1984. It's a Lardy design as far I can see.
edit: you can tell it's a real Lardy by the crooked rook
