Would anyone be able to help me with the provenance of this chess set? It's over 50 years old, but has no identifying information or marks other than the number 72 stamped inside the lid of the wooden case. Thank you in advance.
Really nice find!
The wooden frame shows ordinary wear. The brass latch shows signs of dezincification and pitting. Would guess the age at 80 years.
