@mattconn24 Mr Intelligent up there has missed all the repeated times I've said I'd love for this to be real. Pretty sure he isn't in Mensa....

Some people just love telling people how right they are. No-one outside of Regium knows anything more about this board, not even chess.com, despite what the regium site suggests. The rest of us will have to wait but I see nothing wrong with discussing the available information so far, and with a healthy dose of scepticism rather than wide eyed belief

I am not on your side either. In this comment you are being just as bad as E02519. It is childish that you both have taken this to a personal level and degraded both of your credibility. The product is what it is. Time will tell. If they don’t get the support right off the bat then they will have to release more info plain and simple. This bickering is ridiculous.

Mr. 153 up, is himself again, he lies and misrepresents, it's his nature. He says that nobody knows anything more about the board, Regium has proven to be with all the sites, stores and important chess people and maybe private investors, but Mr. 153 knows everyone and knows that nobody knows more about the board, he can't be more arrogant. And then, he says that Regium suggests that Chess.com has seen the board, that is absolutely false, they do not suggest it anywhere. If they are not yet in the integration phase, as they have said, it is normal that Chess.com have not seen it yet.

(I never said to belong to MENSA, hopefully)

I'm not interested in anyone taking my side or any side, I'd just like to be able to express doubts without being shouted down and insulted.

1. How much were chess.com paid for the Regium advert?

2. How do I delete my chess.com account?

Avatar of BaronVonChickenpants

Just received another email from chess.com on this stating in part "During the ongoing process of due diligence that is required when partnering with a third-party product, we have not been able to verify some of the claims made by REGIUM. Some of these claims have been researched in coordination with our colleagues from other chess sites around the world, while others have been researched independently by Chess.com. The claims Chess.com has been unable to to verify are in relation to both the products being marketed by REGIUM as well as representatives of the company."

Interesting...

That blog shows a good case for video editing in the initial video. Even more interesting.

The legal threats from Regium also are highly suspicious! What a great way to open communication!

We would like to reiterate that we have worked in coordination with our colleagues at other sites and specifically lichess who have dedicated time to validating claims independently as well, very closely during this process and that we are not making a claim definitively regarding the product or its representatives. We simply encourage everyone to engage in best practices when attempting to discern which campaigns and products to support. We will of course keep all of our members updated on any new developments whether positive or negative.

Has chess.com also received legal threats from Regium?

I'd also like to say that it's great to see you working with other chess sites to look into this product. It's good to see cooperation

We have not and do not anticipate receiving them.

I thought I read on their site that it was the user's option to choose simultaneous or consecutive movement.

it says this in their product video.

So it seems, I was not familiar enough with the promo video to remember this.

Thanks for the link to the lichess blog. Good reading. Throws a little water on the flame of enthusiasm we all felt (at least I did) when first hearing about the new e-board. I sure hope it's real. I am anxiously awaiting both the price info and verification of the board's abilities.

I guess they are separating the sponsorship from official endorsement of the product. I'd imaging anyone can sponsor an event at a cost. I don't see anything suspicious about those statements from that point of view
