Replace or ignore

A few weeks ago, I noticed that there were holes in the felt pads of my chess pieces after my friends used them to play Chess. One looked like it was pierced by a bishop, and the other by a pen. I thought of then buying a new piece because a pawn suddenly got missing, but I wasn't sure if I should replace the others without the need of re-felting.
I know the holes wouldn't affect the gameplay, but I just would like to hear your opinions.

I would consider making new friends.
