I have need for a white replacement pawn.  The set is an older "Collectors" set from House of Staunton.  HoS could not help in this matter.

Height: 2 1/32" or 52 mm
Base Diameter: 1 1/4" or 31.5 mm
Collar Diameter: 13/16" or 17 mm
Ball Diameter: 9/16" or 15 mm

Please e-mail me if you can help.

Thanks! -Gg

The Chess Stpre sells replacement pieces for that plastic set and others.

Thanks for the link.  Unfortunately, the pawns that most closely resemble my pawn in style that are offered on that site are listed as 2.25" in height...much too tall. -Gg

Maybe try a pawn shop.

@ kindaspongey:

Whoa -- why so non-serious all of a sudden??  What's gotten into you??

This is not like you.  You usually only give helpful, useful input, with no sass.

Should we be concerned?

Keep it up.

Been waiting for years to use that line.

Your patience paid off.  Well done.

I appreciate humor, even the occasional sophomoric pun.  I would like to make this set whole again, however. -Gg

This seems to be the best solution to the replacement problem.  The dimensions and appearance is about right.  It is about 10g lighter, but I have the lead weight from the damaged pawn and it could be inserted into the new pawn.  -Gg

The switch out the pawn idea occurred to me.  I've ordered the pawn from Wholesale.  It's close enough, and maybe it's spot on.  But in any event, a good set becomes usable again. -Gg
