Hey Carl...looks great.  I know little about resin.  I have your 1851 in ebonized wood.  How will the resin set compare in weight?...the wood 1851 is awesomely weighted].

Thanks we like it too!

there is a difference given the materials used, the King in the resin set weights in at 83gms

Love the idea of resin. I am guessing little or no maintenance and never a crack. (not that I am partial to resin as I also enjoy the beauty of wood) They also look superb. Colors also look fantastic. Since this is a whole new process may I ask what country they come from?

Very nice Carl will you offer a choice on finishing-color?

Hei ReX:

I think that this set is the 1924 set N.York Tournament. HOS Frank Camaratta has a modern replica, or something close of this fantastic set some years ago:

More two photos of Alekhine with this set:

Hi All

we are in the process of manufacturing the 1851 staunton reproduction set, this time in resin! just received the prototype and here are some images...

Hi Carl,

Great looking set! Are the pieces solid resin or do they have metal weights?

I am not a fan of club-size sets but will make an exception for a UK-made set cast from an original!  When can we expect this to be offered?

That resin set is magnificent.  I will be following its development very closely.
