Mandeep did respond this time on the chat option on his website.  All good.

As an update 5 months later.  I've now acquired 4 sets from Staunton Castle.  All stunning.  I'm not sure why you'd buy pieces from anywhere else.  There's no better value nor higher quality IMO.

If you want this set, my advice is to be patient.  I ordered a Nathaniel 1849 set in boxwood & ebony from Staunton Castle's ebay store on Dec. 26th.  The projected delivery was Jan. 15 - Feb. 3. 2021.  I knew they were unavailable until the New Year (per their message on ebay), and likely extremely busy, so I didn't bother trying to contact them.  The shipper's mailing label was created Jan. 19, package was picked up by DHL on Jan. 21 and delivered to me Jan. 27, well within the projected delivery time frame.

Pictures!

I was wondering what this Nathaniel 1849 set is all about.  I never heard of a Nathaniel style.

But's Nathaniel Cooke!  Cooke style 1849 knight.  It all makes sense now happy.png

Looks like nice set, and makes sense to offer an option to the Morphy knight, since both styles were made around the same time.

I'll try to post some pictures next month. I'm too busy with work at the moment.

I have a question about the Elite series - have you played blitz games with it? I was fortunate to experience this set last weekend in a long game. I became in love with it. However, I do have concerns about how fragile the pieces might be in fast game, when the pieces can hit each other...

I have the Elite series. It is a beautiful set with amazing knights and bishops but at the same time it is a delicate set specially the knights’ ears etc and I do not recommend it for blitz.
