I would like to read the book on endgames, set up the position in the book and practice playing it against the engine until the end. And then set up the original position, repeat until I do it right and then go on the next exercise.
I want to practice with real pieces so I am looking for some kind of chess computer.
So far my favorite is Centaur, but I am worried about the sensors not recognizing what kind of the piece it is. I would have to choose the pieces on the screen before putting them on the board and it just seems as too slow and annoying process.
Do you have any chess computer in your mind that you would recommend me for this task? thank you
Hi there. I do this type of exercise using a chessnut air. The board uses auto- recognition so you just set up the position and this shows up on an app on your phone ( connected to the board by Bluetooth). You can play this against stockfish.
