Thanks John, a belated Happy New Year to you too!! Shown is a circa 1930s-40s Dreuke set with Kings measuring 4.5" in height. Set comes with original cedar box. Pieces are weighted. I think over the last 15 years I seen a similar set show up once on Ebay. I love the whimsical Knights!!

The Knights near the bottom. I've never seen anything like those before. How old are those?

Also, that vintage clock in the 13th pic down is awesome.

I bought this in a small shop in Prague. It's the most interesting set I have.

These sets are used a lot at the cafes I play at, meaning the pieces will get dropped every so often. I'm talking about the piece physically falling and hitting the ground, and not a chess blunder. Nothing is broken yet!!! Touch wood. Besides, they are the only sets I have. Nothing really fancy. If all of these were dusted for fingerprints you'd probably meet 100 different people.

Here's the one I had since I was in high school, the pieces are 20 years old but the board is relatively new, given to me by a TD in 2012.

I've had a few comments on this one, and there is one player at the cafe that refuses to play on this set:

My red and blue ones, no players have objected to playing on either:

I also have a purple one, but it's in the Philippines. I had forgotten to leave the extra queens with it!!

You have sucessfully made me envious of your collection, Mike :P

Awesome sets. What is the first one with the "Morphy" knight?

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the sets. Its an HOS 1850 Jaques Congress club size set with  4.4" Kings.  Very limited production with only 10 sets made.
