Silhouettes and Reflections

Thanks gents. I hope other folk add photos of their own chess pieces, over time. 👍
I rotate numerous sets around the home and I am often pleasantly surprised by the views and silhouettes that appear from different angles, when I’m walking around.

Lovely stuff! Quite a different set and yet the pieces are obvious - I can imagine that backlit casting and interesting and mysterious silhouette. 👍
I love the effort and the idea. I’m only using a phone nothing special … so play around and enjoy … experiment… it’s a great way to get a new perspective on pieces and you’ll notice things you haven’t seen before. On reflections, often you’ll find lowering the angle and focussing on the glass might help. Thanks for participating everyone. 👍
With a short rain break in the cricket - The Ashes, live from Lord’s Cricket Ground - I took these shots of the new Chavets and the Mexican bishops overlooking the cowboys - yes, they are chess pieces but they have a semi-permanent position under the lamp!
In the shot below, the lamp light is reminiscent of a sunset.
That Mexican set wouldn't have a chance of survival if my 5 year old grandson was anywhere near it's vicinity.
😊… I have some young folk dropping around this weekend, the Mexican pieces will be well hidden but I reckon we’ll have a game with the Chavets or perhaps the Lardy’esque pieces.
You get the picture … join in and celebrate a purposeful display or indeed, an unexpected view of pieces on display. Whatever floats your boat. Silhouettes and reflections.
