Your pleasures may appear simple, but there is something fundamentally satisfying about the feel and weight of good chess pieces and an excellently weighted and finished board. I am sure if we conducted a survey most members would agree. Such pieces are almost too good for blitz chess?
I just wanted to share one of life's simple pleasures...
Today I received via UPS a new chess set from ChessUSA.com. The typical Staunton-style weighted plastic pieces, roll-up vinyl board and Cordura carry case.
Simple, elegant and practical. This set will probably out-live me.
Life is good.
