The Dublin set is terrible looking to me at least. The other sets pictured are pretty decent looking IMO.

The Chess Pieces of the recent World Chess Championship.
Some say that they are made with the innovative design, that were highly thought of as an improvement over the traditional Staunton , a powerful publicity surrounding the set , almost like a case of innovation in chess pieces !
And yet ... Bla , bla , bla . A little-known theme from the World of Chess , except for collectors or connoisseurs of chess pieces , and so much untruth repeated that becomes a truth ! But is not true!
What annoys me is that marketing think that chess people are stupid , or simply take advantage of their naivety and ignorance through the marketing and an alliance with FIDE promote a set that in its lines in its design is clearly inspired by other sets , particularly one with more than 100 years.
I am not saying that is a copy , I'm saying it's more coincidence , most of the pieces have a design almost identical to a Dublin over a century , differing only in the details here and there . Please look at the Bishop, and The King, The Rook! Well , The Knight is almost a copy of the German Knight of Indian normal kind pieces DGT .
I also have a beautiful budget set,( 50 bucks!) and prior to the pieces of the World championship and the design and similarities are more than many !
Look at the pictures and take conclusions.
Ah ! Placing the chess pieces on a board with 5cm square, is not noticing anything , nothing of chess ! Is Central Park Place is an apartment!
I confess that I can not handle the stupidity of the manufacturers of chess!
Good Times of chess, when Fischer, Kasparov and Karpov and so on, concerns with the material play in a world championship.
Now other interests do move the chess pieces.
