Software for tactics puzzles?

Are any of the handheld chess computers good for tactics puzzles? I've seen that two or three of them come with some preloaded checkmate exercises (about 50, I think). One made by the New York Times has 500 exercises. Ideally, I would like to add new positions, but I suppose none of them interface with real (i.e., general purpose) computers.

I think it would be a little clumsy to try to study tactics with a chess computer. There are many free tactical position sets on the web, and with any interface, you could very conveniently work with them with your pc, and also would have the chance to check subvariations (or main variations for that matter) with an engine, which I think is an underrated part of tactical studies.

I already use another site for online tactics practice, and this site's Tactics Trainer and the Chess Tactics Server are other online options. The idea of a handheld is to have something small and very light. But I haven't found a handheld that specializes in find-the-best-move exercises, though the NYT one seems like a step in the right direction. The way to go might be a PDA or high-end cell phone, though I'm not sure I want to jump into those waters.

I think https://chessgo.in is suitable for your requirements. You can print these puzzles as PDf as well.

Another good series is Chess King. They have a whole raft of tactics programs for various levels. They are available on the Google Play Store for not much money.
