The board size is fine for me in the default, although I know there is a choice between 2 sizes in the settings. I can see how that could be a problem, but I lucked out. Nope, I haven't figured out how to get the answers either. The first 8 or 10 levels it wasn't a problem, but I'm starting to get hammered by some of the tactics now and you're right-it is bloody annoying. Not a dealbreaker for me, but I gotta try and figure it out. Would be nice if there were more documentation. Steve Lopez"s you tube videos are annoyingly euphoric and startlingly devoid of content. Really not his best work... Of course I'm no computer genius. In the openings training course I could only get the main lines to show up on the screen. I figured even that was pretty great compared to digging them out of a book. I kept clicking on them with no result until I accidentally clicked in front of a variation. Oh, so that's what that blinking vertical line means....Not that I need any help feeling dumb. but computers and I are not a good fit....
I never used Convekta's software since so many complained about a clunky interface, but I'm sure they cover much the same ground. If they didn't, then something would be kinda wrong with one or both programs. I like the fact that the program isn't infinitely customizable. Simple is best for someone as near computer illiterate as myself. Like I'm not even bright enough to understand your objection to the test mode, but then I just got this yesterday so I'm sure that like all software I'll eventually find a few things I don't like.
yeah but it sucks if you get a puzzle wrong in test mode you cant look at the right solution to know it the next time, or did you find a way to do it?? Doesnt it annoy that you cant change the size of the board, or was it just my incompetence?
