Yes, it is excellent.
What's nice is that the problems are not organized by theme or difficulty or goal.
One problem might be a mate in 3 threat that the opponent has to give up a couple pieces to stop. That might be followed by a simple back rank mate in one. That could be followed by a problem where you are about to lose and the solution is a combination that gets you out of trouble.
I don't have this book. It just came out in December 2013, and it already has 1000 plus review!! It must be a good beginner tactics book.
