I've been collecting vintage Soviet chess sets for many years, but recent posts by cgrau (Chuck) on his gorgeous Botvinnik Flohr II set has now got me addicted to these amazing historic sets. This set is not to be confused with the 1933 Botvinnik-Flohr set. See cgrau's posts for clarification: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-equipment/clarifying-the-botvinnik-flohr-sets. I now have 5 vintage Botvinnik-Flohr II sets in my collection. This post will feature pics of a circa 1950's set, very similar if not identical to cgrau's set.
