The Handbuch by Von Bilgier and Von Der Lasa was the Bible of 19th century Chess the 1880 edition I have here is a very large book in German filled with many forgotten opening tricks and traps that aren't in the books anymore!

I'd recommend it only for the serious player and Chess historian I got it because I spend a great deal of time studying the works of the old masters from the 18th 19th and early 20th century having this book is very useful for reference and study.
