The Lardy of All Lardys

Thanks beach and broom - your observations make me think this set is consigned back to the Lardy’esque bucket. I think this may be further confirmed by the photos below which show the wood difference between this and the Dogface (which came in a box with a faded Made in France stamp on the base). I still love these and am happy to return to my original thinking ….and the mystery of their manufacture remains. Thanks again for raising the questions. And apologies to all for temporarily hijacking the thread! Learning, still learning …

Hey team of good-hearted sleuths. I found another Lardy’ish set. Any luck this time? As usual - thoughts appreciated.

That one's a Lardy for sure, @Powderdigit. 1970s-80s? The label is a Lardy label as well.

Found this set at a swap meet $10. Kings are nearly 4.75 Anybody know anything about them. I have been hunting for a missing rook. Found this forum in the process.

Hi, it looks to be a wonderful set, congratulations. Are you able to show the knights and other pieces, as that may make identification easier.
At this stage French manufactured from the 60’s or 70’s is my guess but more specificity will come from showing more pieces.

Definitely post photos! People know people who can sometimes make things happen.
