Ultimate Chess set in wood

I've got CB's wood version of this set, and it's pretty good (see my pictures: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-equipment/my-experience-with-chess-bazaar?page=14#comment-45401742=) . You can deduct another 25% from the price shown, but I got it through Etsy with a more significant discount, at €91 incl. shipping.

One thing I noticed is the chess house set weighs in at 4 lbs. Where the chess bazaar set is only a little over 2.5 lbs.
And, the Chess House version is lower priced than the Chess Bazaar set. The Chess House also has discounts available. For instance, right now there is a $30 off coupon available for sets or stuff over $150.. They have free shipping. So this set could be had for $120, complete.
Seeing that The Chess House set is heavier and all, it's a better set for a lower price, nice.
Fair enough. So, The Chess House set is demonstrably a better set for $20 more than the Chess Bazaar version.

I couldn't agree more with you Eyechess. I picked this one up just this morning and used the coupon that was offered for a rebate/price reduction of $30. Good deal and beautiful wood-Anjanwood. Nice storage case to boot as a throw in, a sure plus in my book!

Indeed. There wasn't a discount for the Chess House version when I ordered my set. Yes, the bag (rather than case) is a nice one.
If I may ask Mr. Sound what model or rather what wood type did you choose from their choice of 4 different wood types offered by the Chesshouse? Thank you kindly in advance with your reply to my inquiry. All the best...Jorge.
Well, I am sort of glad I decided to quit buying any more Chess sets,...
That was before I ordered the HoS Drueke 2, and now this set in the Anjanwood pictured above
That set weighs just over 4 lbs. And there are no sharp points on the pieces to chip. And the $30 off just kept staring me in the face. And Raphael, the owner of The Chess House, always finds the best quality products to sell. And,...please don’t tell my wife.

@Eyechess Let's see if your number is in the directory. I'm sure I can get a free set (cough cough) for not telling. 😎

The offer was too good to pass up I agree with you Eye. You made a very good choice picking up the Ultimate in Anjanwood from Raphael at Chesshouse. The weighting of the pieces, quality type of the wood and of course reduction in pricing and getting a carrying case which most chess outlets will not sell unless they're asking for an additional discounted fee for the matching storage containers is the reasons I jumped all over this offer as well as you did. I'm sure we'll both be quite pleased with our newest acquisitions, Kudos to Raphael at Chesshouse and to you for enlightening me on this discounted coupon to reap the savings.
With all the talk about the next version of the Ultimate chess pieces, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the wooden version put out by Chess House?
