I have just received my set in the post. Want to make sure I received the correct one. I ordered the large and when I measure it , the side of the whole surface is 8.5 inches long and playing surface is 8 inches. I have tested the magnetic strength and all except one of the black pieces stay in their spot. The one piece slips a bit. Overall happy with it. Will use it for chess study.

The ChessHouse has been selling a 9" version for many years. Here is it, a very nice and high-quality set. I have had one for about 5 years now.
