Any particular reason you want the GX?
A painted red longbody would be a thing in sexiness, if you can find someone to do the job for you.
The main problem with the GX is that if you use move counter, and then the clock gets out of sync with the board (someone hitting it not on move, or an illegal move+press), you can't edit the move counter at all. This is a pretty massive flaw. Also, for FIDE increment, you're supposed to get the increment before you make the first move, but the clock doesn't allow you to change seconds in hour based time controls (or past 99:59), so you have to literally start the clock, immediately stop it, then add the increment to each player (and this can be annoying or even not allowed if you don't communicate it first). The DGT clocks add the increment immediately, and the longbody can (once again) edit seconds before game and have it saved to a preset.
The longbody clock allows you to edit the move counter after a game has started.
The only benefit to a GX compared to a longbody is the ribbon connector issue is fixed on all newer GX's (it has a latch now), so you won't have to deal with the number digits fading from oxidation over time (most local electronic repair shops can't service these connectors if they're directly soldered to the flex ribbon rather than with a molex/flip type JST connector.
Hello,
If you have a LONG body Chronos Chess Clock (with buttons), I would like to purchase it from you.
NOTE: It must be LONG and it must have buttons.
NOTE: Any color will do as long as the center button is red like in the pic.
Must be working with no issues.
See pic.
I will pay you for this so let's talk.
Bob
