So one day, I'm using chessbase completely and everything is splendid, all the buttons are properly named, no errors (it crashes sometimes but from what i've heard, that's normal). I close out of it to do other stuff and the some error occurs and says the dll file is corrupt (error 0c000020 or something like that?!)
So I backup all my stuff and reinstall chessbase and like magic, the error is gone and chessbase is function able once more. However, upon activation, i notice some weird stuff...
so first... it seems like one of the toolbar options (I almost never use it so i wouldn't know) has been replaced with "remove rarely used symbol (database remains in place)"...ok? that wasn't there before...
Also the "board" option subtitle was changed to "scan database"... hmmmm
(NOTE: the buttons still function as they are supposed to, just renamed to random things)
(I can't seem to get a screenshot of this as it is a menu)
-if I rightclick a database, one of the options (ctrl+alt+enter) is titled "this move is ambiguous"
- What would normally be backup database is changed to "remove deleted games"
-what would normally be "remove deleted games" is "print search result"
ok... so those where kind of annoying but i could live with them as i pretty much know where all the keys are supposed to be, but upon reinstalling it, the default settings kicked in and i lost the "scroll key advances move" option, (which is REALLY conveniant) and its name appeared to be changed... so i dont know what to do anymore...
TL;DR: My chessbase's buttons and titles have all gone wack, Any help would be greatly appreciated
(changed to "general chess discussions to get more attention because i need help... will change back if/when fixed)
