What chess set is this?

I know this is a bit random, but saw this ad on FB, and the chess set reminded me of the one I used while playing with my grandfather, when I was a kid. Does anyone know what it is? Thanks.

Have not seen the exact set.. the flames, knobs and minarets remind of eastern European and soviet sets. I agree it looks like a nice set!

The good man who glances over to communicate his knight move looks a bit like my friend Christian from my first semester back in the 20th century. We played chess under the cherry tree in the garden of my landlord's.. great subject for study happy.png

Right, my grandfather and I lived in Ukraine at the time.

Fascinating! The king and queen made me think of Mordovian Soviet sets from the ’50s. But I think I can vaguely see a knight next to the banner, which is clearly different; and the rook has a very tall rim, whereas Mordovian rooks have a particularly thin rim.

I browsed Google Images for a bit and found various vintage Ukrainian sets that do show rooks with tall rims, but none of them feature kings with flame-like finials; they were all cone-shaped, like the Soviet sets from the 1930s to the ’70s or so.

I noticed some of the Botvinnik Flohr sets also feature rooks with tall rims—but again, kings with cone-shaped finials.
