What chessboard are you looking for?

I like the 16" board and my wife likes the 18" board.

I like the smaller border myself.  18" board on top looks better to me.

Those are some nice looking boards. Also if you are looking for fixtures, and you aren't aware of them, you can try Micro Mart. They mainly cater to miniature builders. Like ships, cars, trains, etc. They carry numerous items you may find useful. If you aren't aware of them. I know they carry an assortment of hinges in various sizes. Its hard to find a quality board at a decent price anymore, especially folding boards. I like the magnet boards also, perhaps you could add boarders with the notations on them, or could be attached as well, and sell them as an option separately. They might be big sellers for you. Good luck Brad.

I prefer the 18" board with 1" borders.  The total size would then be a nice 20".

Of the two examples you showed us, I like the look of the smaller border with the 18" board better. though If the border on that one was 1/2" larger, it would be perfect, IMO

Can you do a bordered version of your 4-piece boards?

Thank you for all of the feedback!  It is all great. I will have to look into Micro Mart.  I need better hinges for my folding board.

I am currently working on a bordered version for the 4 piece board.  It might take me a little bit to produce but I will have one up eventually.

Folding boards are also very popular Brad. You have some great ideas.  This is the best way to work at what you are doing is though this forum. We can tell you are not spamming for sales but are truly trying to deliver what chess players want. There is no other way to do it really.  Keep up the great work.
