Summary of Lesson #09 Self Training Methods 2nd May by Coach Ali.
I follow a structured self-training system built on a few strict principles. Before training, I set clear red lines: I do not use an engine during thinking, and I always work on a physical board to improve calculation and visualization.
My training is organized into four sessions per week, each lasting 30 minutes. Within this schedule, I use two complementary types of training.
The first is system-based training, using structured resources such as Build Up Your Chess 1 and The Woodpecker Method. This helps me build core skills like calculation, pattern recognition, and positional understanding through consistent and methodical practice.
The second is an open training approach based on my own games. I analyze my games without an engine, identify one specific weakness, and then collect relevant positions that target this exact issue. This allows me to focus on real, practical problems in my play.
The key idea of my system is the integration of these two methods. I use open training to diagnose my weaknesses, and then I apply system-based material to train and correct them. In this way, structured resources provide the training material, while my own games provide direction.
This combined approach ensures that my training is both disciplined and highly relevant. If you are interested to start private lessons reach me at alichessfoundation@gmail.com.

Today many of you missed session so i created this club for you all..
