What is the hinge like on the World Chess folding board?

Lately I have been looking into the World Chess Studio Set designed by Daniel Weil.

I like the idea of the folding board and smaller square size (45mm) making this more compact. I don't see this as a portable board, but it makes it easier to find a place to play and store the board afterwords.

What are your experiences with the fabric hinge?

I like this board too! I am also curious to know other people’s experiences with this type of hinge.

There's a non-hinged version too, but it is this hinge I'm most interested in knowing about as this makes it easier to store. It's a nice modern looking board.

How much "wiggle" is there? How noticeable is the seam when playing? How durable is the hinge over time? Is there something else we don't see for a hinge? How easy might it fall apart?

@zbieraj created this great thread where the hinge is briefly discussed

I haven't seen him around much lately but perhaps he can pop in and give a long-term hinge update.
