Hello! Write the oldest book you have: year, author/book. It’s interesting to know. My “record” is something like 1938 year.

I would have to confirm as I have about 500 books, but the oldest I can think of that I have is "The Art of Sacrifice in Chess", which was written in 1935.

Note the Forum - "CHESS books and equipment". If you want to start talking outside of chess books, I have you beat easily. It is tucked away somewhere, but we do own a copy of The Bible. First half of that (old testament) was in the BC years!

But we are talking chess books here. Mark Twain? SMH!

A History of Chess by H.J.R. Murray. The copy I have is a reproduction from 2012 so technically the book isn't old, but the text is from 1913, so its kind of my oldest chess book.
